Once you reach the far side of the graveyard Father Gregori will open a gate which he has to hold while you duck through. After saying farewell, enter the building the Father was ushering you towards. Don't worry about any zombies now you're on the other side of the fence. They can't harm you, and the rather sadistic Father Grigori can more than handle his "flock".
As you enter the building, look out for the Health Pack hidden away in the dark corner. It can be very useful in healing yourself of any injuries caused by the "Friendly Zombies" from the Graveyard. The mineshaft in the next room is your way down to the mines themselves, but it doesn't hold a direct route down, in the form of stairs or a perhaps a handily placed escalator. Jumping straight down the mineshaft in the hope of landing somewhere is not advisable, and will result in you falling to an unpleasant and excruciating death.
Saying that the only way down is to jump, and the place for this is where the barrels are located. Push them off the edge to get them out of the way, but do not try hitting the flammable barrel off the edge with your crowbar. Then look down to the wooden shaft below, and jump downwards aiming to hit it. It's probably best to do a quicksave by pressing F6 before you jump, just in case you miss.
After that, continue downwards using the wooden shafts, but do not fall to the main mine floor below, unless of course you would like your face reconfigured by the horde of headcrabs below. Instead jump onto the platform with the 4 Health Vials on, and move around to the mining shed around the platform. Here you can pick up 2 HEV Suit Batteries, and an array of ammo. Use the ammo and some you already have to lay waste to any barrels on the cavern floor.
This will take out a lot of the headcrabs, allowing you to jump from the shortest point on the platform to the ground. Don't be caught standing around once you have jumped down though! Sprint using the shift key, to the lower stairs near the fire, and the fenced off mine entrance. Take out any Fast Headcrabs with the Shotgun or SMG, if they look like they will pose a danger. Quickly climb the stairs, and use the top of them to jump on top of the wooden beams above the fence. Don't fall off the wooden beam though, but continue forward through the cavern on top of them, preventing the Fast Headcrabs from getting you easily.

At this point you're met with a weak wooden bridge leading to a corpse on the other side. Try Sprinting over there to get the health pack, but the bridge collapses as you touch it, and so this is very difficult. Don't worry if you fall, as this is the only way you can continue anyway. Upon diving into the water below, swim to the surface, to see a Barnacle ready to have his way with you. Take a lift on the slimy tongue to the top, shooting the Barnacle as you reach the platform with ammo and health available.
Once you've done this, its back down to the water for another swim. Dive under the water and move through the wooden shaft supporting the mine, underneath the water. The quickest way through it is to crouch down and go to the bottom of the shaft to get through. Although you can go through the middle of the shaft, it's somewhat more difficult as you move around the water in all directions.
When you see the light, surface the water and land on a small cavern bay, where a nice cosy fire is lit. To the left of it though is a cold, barren tunnel with a tram at the entrance. Activate it by pulling the lever, using the E key. But stay away from its blades at all times. The Tram does move back and forth down the track, so don't be standing around on the track, as you will be chopped in two by its blades. Do however lure the Zombies in the tunnel towards the Tram, crouching down away from the track when the tram approaches. If you do this effectively, there is no real need to fire a shot in the tunnel, at any point. Once the Zombies are dealt with, head towards the light at the end of the tunnel.
At the end of the tunnel, after the loading sequence, is 3 supplies boxes, but be wary of a lurking poison headcrab. Arm your Magnum ready and move cautiously towards it, being vigilant at all times. When you clearly hear it, back away from the grassy area and look around for it, from a distance. Shoot it on sight, to avoid being hit, which will cost you dearly health wise.
After you've grabbed the goodies, follow the train track down the right hand side. Notice a Fast Zombie running along the top of a carriage towards your direction, but once it gets near you, it shouldn't be much of a challenge for the Shotgun. However, firing barrels and any of the other objects lying around in the area, will have little effect on the Zombie.
As you move along the track, you will notice a laser being pointed at zombies along the track from above. Stay away from the area until the Zombies are killed. Then take the supply box near to a building overlooking the track. Arm a Grenade, turn around, and move backwards looking up towards the overlooking building. As you see an open window, throw the grenade in immediately, and run back from where you have just come, to avoid being shot. When the sniper drops out of the window, the coast is clear.
Another sniper in another overlooking building is up ahead, past the train sign to the left of the track. When he shoots down the trees from the Cargo Train, duck underneath them for cover, and continue slowly on. Move underneath the train, as soon as the cover from above stops. From the end of the train, you can now throw a grenade with ease into the window, taking out this sniper.
Continue on to see three soldiers. These are Combine Soldier, a more heavily armed foe than their Metro Cop counterparts. They are fighting Zombies near a fire and an open train. Primarily, shoot the Combine Soldiers, as they can pack more of a punch than easily dealt with Zombies. Once the threat is eliminated, move through the open carriage and pick up one of the Soldiers weapons - The Overwatch Standard Issue Pulse Rifle
Take the ammo lying around this area and continue once again along the track, towards a derelict area. As you move in, Combine Soldiers move in from the gates to your left, and along the track. Use your recently acquired Pulse Rifle and shoot them, in the head if possible to neutralise them. Use the flammable barrels to your advantage, and take the health in the white car. If you manage to get on top of the train at the end of the track, which is very difficult, you'll be able to see the Gman in all his sly glory, walking towards another train.
The last part of the chapter is easy. Enter the building at the edge of the car park, being sure to take the "orb" for your secondary Pulse Rifle fire at the door, and enter the factory. Take out the Combine Soldiers, who are at this point engaging Rebel Soldiers, from behind with ease using the pulse rifle. Then procede to the rebel soldiers, tending to their injured friend Winston.
You are told to follow one of the soldiers in to a room with a video device. The man talks to Alyx on the "Video Phone" and reveals that Eli has been captured, and taken to Nova Prospekt. It is now all up to you to save Eli, by taking the coastal roads to Nova Prospekt in the "buggy". When your conversation with Alyx ends (although admitteley 1 way), do as the man says. Tool up with ammo, battery power and Health. Then procede to go through the door and on to the next chapter Highway 17 (http://www.hlfallout.net/articles.php/highway17_46/)
