I think it's time we share our thoughts on old games. From 2 years ago to 10 years ago, the all count Give us your top 10/20 old games.

Here's my list:

Tresspasser: One of the first games to tackle physcis. Although, it didn't really succeed all that well, it showed us what kind of future there'll be in FPS games. One of the things I loved about Tresspasser was the environment. You can't help be on edge all the time, with sounds coming from everywhere, and a raptor just waiting for you behind a tree. A very underrated game.

Populous: Ahh, good ol' Populus. I'll never forget using your Shaman to "spawn" a volcano right in the middle of another tribe's village. This game is definately one of my top favourite old games because of its originality. I think Peter Molyneux took some ideas from Populus for B&W.

Theme Hospital: Watching someone's head being blown up like a balloon, and then pop, is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Theme Hospital is one of the funniest 'theme' games to date, well..in my opinion. With bonus levels such as the rats in the hospital...this game is definately on my list.

Theme Park World: "Your visitors are buying tons of balloons....well, not tons. But they're buying lots of balloons!" That, I will never forget. I remember playing Theme Park World for hours on end, trying to make the best theme park EVER! With in-game postcards, you can email pictures of your park to your friends, I remember sending a lot. :blush

System Shock 2: If HL1 wasn't released, System Shock 2 would've been way more succesfull (in my opinion) because it really is one of the best FPS games I've ever played. I thought it was on par with HL1. With story, gameplay, sound, graphics...everything else. This game is a must-own for all HL1 fans!

Homeworld: One thing I'll never forget about Homeworld was a 6 hour online game. Although multiplayer games lasted a few hours, it was very interesting, very unique and very fun to play. With Homeworld: Cataclysm, and Homeworld 2, it surely did very well. All I'm waiting for is Homeworld 3. *hopes*

The X-Files: This was the first time I saw a 7-cd game, and a full installation of 3gb. The X-Files TV series was one of my favorite series, and it was obvious that I'd buy the game...and buy the game I did. This was one of those games where you feel so proud for finishing it. If you're an X-Files game, GET THIS!

This is just a short list, I have a lot more games to talk about. I'll post those at a later date. Please don't just spam in this thread, talk about your game, explain why you like it!! :):

Why limit it to 10 years ago? This may come as a shock, but some members are old enough to remember beyond that :tongue

Wolfenstein 3D: First PC game I ever played
OMF 2097: Still one of my favourites. If only I could get it to work now
Command & Conquer (the original): Coolest game at the time. Everyone was playing it

Sonic/Golden Axe on Sega deserve special mention too. Hm...on that note, probably Super Mario, Pacman, Donkey Kong, Pong, Tetris, etc. as well :):

I'm a fan of the show but I didn't like the game.

I still play Doom, Doom II, and Final Doom, which I've "purchased" off the net. :phew

I forgot to mention. I'm not focusing on OLD games, like the first tetris etc. I'm more thinking of games of 5/8 years ago. I see a lot of people talking about 15 years ago games, why not..for once...talk about games 5/8 years ago? :tongue

Agreed. Those were some of the most awesome flight sims ever made. Shame they have no new releases now. Other than that,
1. Freespace 1 and 2
2. Strike commander
3. Wing commander Prophecy (beat that game 15 times on hard and never got bored of it...!)
4. Worms armaggedon (those lil' worms were the most funniest thing in a game yet.)
5. Half-life 1
6. Quake 3
7. GTA: london and the first few series. (including GTA 2)
8. Metal Gear Solid.
9. Tekken
10. NFS 2 and 3. After that only porche unleashed was good, before all the underground series started! though I liked underground1, I thought underground2 was pretty pathetic.
