Here's my list:
Tresspasser: One of the first games to tackle physcis. Although, it didn't really succeed all that well, it showed us what kind of future there'll be in FPS games. One of the things I loved about Tresspasser was the environment. You can't help be on edge all the time, with sounds coming from everywhere, and a raptor just waiting for you behind a tree. A very underrated game.
Populous: Ahh, good ol' Populus. I'll never forget using your Shaman to "spawn" a volcano right in the middle of another tribe's village. This game is definately one of my top favourite old games because of its originality. I think Peter Molyneux took some ideas from Populus for B&W.
Theme Hospital: Watching someone's head being blown up like a balloon, and then pop, is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Theme Hospital is one of the funniest 'theme' games to date, well..in my opinion. With bonus levels such as the rats in the hospital...this game is definately on my list.
Theme Park World: "Your visitors are buying tons of balloons....well, not tons. But they're buying lots of balloons!" That, I will never forget. I remember playing Theme Park World for hours on end, trying to make the best theme park EVER! With in-game postcards, you can email pictures of your park to your friends, I remember sending a lot.
System Shock 2: If HL1 wasn't released, System Shock 2 would've been way more succesfull (in my opinion) because it really is one of the best FPS games I've ever played. I thought it was on par with HL1. With story, gameplay, sound, graphics...everything else. This game is a must-own for all HL1 fans!
Homeworld: One thing I'll never forget about Homeworld was a 6 hour online game. Although multiplayer games lasted a few hours, it was very interesting, very unique and very fun to play. With Homeworld: Cataclysm, and Homeworld 2, it surely did very well. All I'm waiting for is Homeworld 3. *hopes*
The X-Files: This was the first time I saw a 7-cd game, and a full installation of 3gb. The X-Files TV series was one of my favorite series, and it was obvious that I'd buy the game...and buy the game I did. This was one of those games where you feel so proud for finishing it. If you're an X-Files game, GET THIS!
This is just a short list, I have a lot more games to talk about. I'll post those at a later date. Please don't just spam in this thread, talk about your game, explain why you like it!!
