That's one good question, and it raises lots of others. Just pay attention to the game's dialogue, and continue to speculate until Half-Life 3 comes out(just like we did with Half-Life 2)!

Becuase Kliener's teleporter still uses Zen as a relay point, where as the combine teleporter doesn't.

Kliener to Kliener = Ok, works fine (unless unteruppted by a headcrab)

Combine to combine = Ok

Combine to Kliener = 1 week dilation period due to incompatibility with the time streams? Meh, it's my theory.

What about Kleiner to Combine? Is it -1 week? :tongue

We all all big nerds here, (well at least I know I am)

But I think you have problems telling the real world from the virtual one...

If teleports existed, slow or fast, we probably would'nt need cars, nor busses, nor planes not ships anymore, would we?
Teleportation in the real world, in the year 2005 is inexistant...Aven if you can theoretically turn matter into energy, send the said energy somewhere else & then turn it back into matter (thermodynamics tells us this), we can't (or don't know how to yet) reconstruct the molecular structure of the original matter entity...

Is that answer good enough for you?

Try doing a Google search on theoretical physics and going to college for eight years and getting a Phd on the subject. That should be good! :):

Trying to build a team behind that technology would be a staffing nightmare.
