Making the Buggy controlable under boost?

I have a specific purpose for this in mind, but I want to keep it secret for now.

When you hit the boost, you basicly loose control of the buggy, turn the wheels all you want, no turning will occur. Is there a way to mod it so that you can continue to steer after hitting the boost? I guess simply going faster would also suffice.

Any help would be great, I promise something good will come of it ;)

Well I have something made with garry's mod.

Just put 6 or 7 "numpad thrusts" on each side of the buggy and control it with your numpad if you're "turbo`ing"

But i dont think this was what you mean ;)

eh, basicly I want to run the part in HL2 where you have to play chicken with a train, cutting it so close that the train clips the tail end of the buggy and spins it around. Doing this is impossible unmodded because either you use the boost early and clear the train my a wide margin, use it late and lose control of the buggy, smacking into the train or you don't use the boost and don't make it at all.
