*I started this topic because I wanted to talk to other people who are interested in guns.

I know some of u guys have firearms, so post pics of ur guns and discuss any experience u might have had with them. Personally, i'm just getting in to firearms, joined the shotgunning club @ my local 4h, it's pretty sweet; I'm looking for a shotgun to buy, and i want to get a rifle also, maybe a garand. It kinda sucks tho cuz i cant get ful auto weaps here in cali, gun control is really tight, can barely have an airsoft gun where I live. Discuss.

That's because California = Liberalville.

I have nothing against liberals in general, it's just I don't quite make sense of their anti-gun rhetoric...

Anyways, you're lucky that you can still buy an airsoft gun in where you live. From what I'm hearing, the UK is trying to pass a law banning the sale of any replica guns which include airsoft guns. I don't know why, since it seems like they're always trying to ban something in the UK.

I think it was 350. Anyways, most of the fps limits that airsoft arenas will allow are up to 400 for AEGs and GBBs. The CQB arena I frequent at has a 350fps limit.

While 350fps might not be enough for some, it's pretty good enough for me. Just being bursted by a stock armalite doing 280 stings like a mofo (for a short while).

Target practise. Hunting. Self-defense.

Dont forget starting your own militia or gang.

Maybe then it'll stop stupid wanna be gansters from harming other people with replica guns

If you're going to get a vintage rifle, I suggest a Mosin-Nagant, they're a blast.

I can understand completely where you're coming from with this, but I think that's a stereotype that is undeserving of a large majority of liberals. I myself am a liberal, and have always voted Democrat, but I and many others like me have nothing against guns. While I think there should be restrictions, obviously, I do not think that guns should be banned per-say. My uncle is a gun-collector and owns hundreds of rifles, including Mosins, Garands, k98s, you name it, and I think that's perfectly acceptable. On the other hand, I do not believe any non-law-enforcement person should be able to get their hands on a Tec-9... or an uzi... or anything similar. They're just unneccesary. As quoted from Bowling for Columbine "A tec-9 submachine gun is not used for hunting deer."

I live in California, and thats part of why I like it here- I'm a gun owner by the way.

Please, lets not make this a political thing. ^Dee^ came close enough with hijacking the thread, I don't want this one to go down in flames too.

You do know those are unnececery activities except the last one. You don't need it for self defence either because you can easily use tons of other self defence weapons and tools. Shock or dart guns as well as countless others.

If you want to debate gun ownership, then please make another thread.

Target practice is pretty fun, I know. Hunting is a sport, which people take very seriously. And what happens if someone with a gun breaks into your house? Without a firearm you're at a disadvantage.

But I do agree that a weapon, in the hands of an irresponible person can be dangerous.
