Most of you probably saw this on"On the Spot" . Its a trailer for "Alan Wake" on the PS3. Its pretty spooky and its done just like a movie trailer. What do you think the actual gameplay will look like and do you think its gonna be good?

EDIT: and the X-Box

I think Alan Wake is for PS3, Xbox360 and PC. The trailer is neat, they released a new trailer just yesterday, and it looked good and is interesting.

Wish they would show more...the story rather than the gameplay is grabbing my curiosity.

I read an article PCGamer US had on it, but I'm still confused. From screens and clips it looks to have fairly good graphics and realistic sunlight and shadow effects according to times of the day. It's supposed to be very open also... similar to GTA:SA, but maybe more open, which would really be great.

Now that I've seen this trailer I'm more interested in it than ever. I don't think it's literally based off of a book. It looks like Alan Wake was an author. He dreamed inspirations for his books. Then he moved into some town that ended up being abandoned and his nightmares became true, but only at night. Either this or maybe there's some kind of twist where everything he sees is in his imagination... seeing as its an abandoned town.

i think that its based of an author named Alan Wake, and all nightmares the trailer talks about ares stuff based off one or mutiple books that he wrote, so that all these horrible things happen to him.

Check out the interview.

"Taking its cue from Stephen King novels and the kind of scary small town Americana that David Lynch explored so memorably in Twin Peaks, it's a free roaming action adventure that the makers of Max Payne are pitching as "truly next generation"."

There we go. So it's based off of Stephen King, not Alan Wake.
