The game is enjoyable, its not as addictive as cs:s, but it still is a fun game. It has a steeper learning curve, but eventually you will get used to it. I love the feeling of the weapons and how 1 or 2 shots can kill a person. The game is based on classes, were each class serves a purpose and working as a team is the only way to win a round. I prefer being a rifleman for the Allied side, it has good acuracy at midrange and far.
Graphically speaking, I think the game already looks old, If it would have come out at the same time as cs:s I would say it has jaw dropping graphics, but now, It seems a little bland. The HDR is nothing to really be amazed about. I played FEAR MP, And that had great use of lights and shadows and has unbelievable graphics, but the gameplay felt slow.

I know that I'd get it if my computer were able to run it on high or even medium.

About the innaccuracy - I find that the guns are fairly accurate for the first few shots, it's just that the cone of fire is so huge the bullets have the potential to randomly go just about anywhere.

thats true, thats why im always reloading to get good shots

Your only real argument was the graphics department, which really isnt cutting edge or new, but it isnt old either. I agree the graphics arent up to par but..come on, FEAR isnt even out yet, and the Source engine was out nearly a year ago..

The gameplay, as you said, is what makes it so fun...I thinks its worth every penny!

I have played DOD since just after it started and I've always been a big fan. I love the new DOD although at first I thought maybe I didn't. Once I got used to the changes I could really see why the changes were made and agree that they are good changes.

If you liked the earlier versions of DOD and/or just love a fast paced online shooter...it's worth it. The quality of the gameplay is far superior in my opinion than of any other game I've played...except for maybe Counter-Strike. The player movement, the weapons, etc are all great.

I disagree with earlier posts about the graphics. I think the graphics are great. It's one of the first games out to use HDR....I really don't see why anyone would say the graphics look old unless you have an old system that cannot show the quality graphics as they are.

To be quite honest, I was growing sick and tired of all the WW2 games which seemed to be releasing endlessly in recent years. I wasnt a huge fan of the original DOD, so im stillr rather hesistant as to whether or not I should make the purchase. But all the friends are playing it instead of CS:S much at the moment, so looks like i'll have to aha :):

IM SO COOL

At the moment it is not living up to its potential because it only offers 4 maps that offer similar gameplay. None of the maps allow for snipers to set up like the old pre-beta days like Seg3 or Hill. Hopefully new Valve/community maps will come out soon that offer a greater variety of gameplay.

seg3 was the greatest map ever made. and dod:s is the greatest WWII multiplayergame ever made

Runs better the CS:S on my pc even thou they added a lot of stuff. There are a lot of servers with surprisingly better latency rates then CS:S. It is the only cure to the CS:S addiction..(yeah, i hate CS:S now too). Anyways, the game is worth the money 20 times and over. In my opinion, if you liked DOD or even CS:S, your love this game :)

EDIT: The only problem i have with the game is that it is a little tense...Me and my bros often find ourselves cursing and chewing on gum like crazy while playing. That could be cause it is a lot more fast pasce (SP?) then before. I don't like this cause i usually play games to calm down and stuff but this game winds you up even more. However, i know that feeling will go away once i get used to the fast gameplay so it all ends well :)
