Wow it is sad to see you leaving the site Warvan. The work that you have done for the site (and the HLF community itself) speaks volumes.

You are a true professional, and I think it will be a long time (if ever) that HLF gets someone of your caliber as a member and cool guy to know. Thanks for the personal note to me, it means a lot.

Again, it is really sad to see you go. I will keep in touch via your Flickr page for sure. Take care, and best of luck with your career.

Best Regards,

So I had a little chat with Warvan today on Steam chat, about gaming and the lack of him being on HLF.

Warvan [uk]: Hey Trooper! Yeah, I´m quite addicted to L4D recently. How ya doing? I sometimes pop by HLF and no one seems to be posting much art or walls. I don´t know what´s happened but yeah, it´s become a bit stale. I have thought of coming back but tbh I ended up feeling my work wasn´t much appreciated and the site was losing it´s spark. Shame really. Yeah, definetely try to get a game on. :)

So what say you? I for one appreciated his work on HLF. It would be nice if he came back, but how do you all feel?

I feel like Warvan was one of the most outstanding members here who actually contributed artistically to the site and thus kept it alive. It's the fact that people like him left is the reason the site is so stale.

I have to agree with you (sic). The guys sigs/ava's/wallpapers were all incredible. Do you remember how he did the HLF calendar's for a whole year? He is a stand up guy and I miss his artistic greatness on the site!

Thank God we have Monkeh, without him this site would truly be stale!!

I know I never said anything, but I always went ":o !" when I saw this thread on the front page. He should come back even if it is just one post to say hi.

I freaked out too, Zeebok. I was like, "NO WAY?! HE'S BACK!?" and I think my testicles dropped from the sheer awesomeness I felt.

Warvan creates amazing artwork with Photoshop. I use photoshop nearly everyday and I still think his work from 2007 is far far far much better than anything I do.

It would be great to see him come back though. :):

Yes but no one cares. This thread is about Warvan, not you.

I figured it was related enough to what we were talking about.

Haha, burn.

I agree, Warvan's stuff was top-notch and I'd love to see him back here. I think it would really help energize the site and if he did more wallpaper features for the site like he did awhile back it could get the ball rolling on improving the site.

Heh, his desktop calendars are still still on the 'site features' thing on the side. You know, from 2006.
