So I think the losties that set off the H bomb are in the present (or whatever is the present date in Lost) and the losties that landed at LAX are now in past. What is interesting is the 2004 timeline (LAX landing). Kate trying to break free, Charlie getting caught, Hurley being rich, etc. Why should care about that? Its really interesting.

Yeah, glad to see I was right about a few things here and there, mainly about Locke being the Smoke Monster. But we still don't know who is good and evil - Jacob or the man in black, or if either of them are. I'm sure they must have some purpose behind the alternate reality other than to f*** with us - perhaps their storylines loop round and they end up getting to know eachother anyway, or even get to the Island.

I think the main questions from these episodes are:

- What is Locke going to do with/to Richard?
- How and why was Desmond on the plane and where did he go?
- Where is the smoke monster's home and why does he want to go back there?

I did watch the premiere and WTF I posted in here just before it started! Where's my post?? MUTLEY!!!!!!!!

So yeah. Well what happened was that Faraday's theory worked and in 2004, the Oceanic Flight 815 does not crash on the island. It lands at LAX. But the original losties who went back in time look like they're stuck on the island for good. Fake Locke is the monster and I called it long time ago :P

I remember you calling it.

Also I know that the new flashbacks are what would have happened had they not crashed which is what I meant.
Them running parallel is kind of reminding me of Neal Stephenson's Anathem. In it a one group of scientific monks develop a way to see alternate realities based on diverging decisions (and use it to get peace with a reality hopping spaceship).
I'm thinking these will show us whether their lives would be better or worse without the island.

When the losties on the island die, they go to the reality where the plane never crashed.

Would make sense.

I'm really loving it so far.
I can't believe there's only twelve episodes left. It feels like they still have a lot to tie up.

After watching the sixth episode:
