Half life 2 weapon question

Ive been playing half lif deathmatch and every body can shoot gravityballs and can't. How do you shoot the gravity balls?

You mean energy orb?

You have to pick up the ammo for it before you can fire them.

Normally it's just laying on the ground near where the weapon spawns. It looks like little yellow balls.

They can be located between you're legs.

Unless you have a bug (theres one called the sexchange bug) and so they will have dissapeared...
