If you have read the latest PC Gamers previews you would of seen that crytek has revealed its latest game, Using far crys engine this game is about a meteor has landed in the pacific islands you are one of an elite team of US commandos sent in to investigate the only problem is that the koreans have got there first. And the meteor isnt what everyone thought it is, it is infact an alien craft.....

I'll probably get it. Sounds interesting and is made by Crytek. Far Cry was an awesome game.

Actually the engine is updated to Cryengine 2. It is a lot more improved then the original engine. Many new features have been added like soft shadows and leaves on every tree being physics enabled.

its a free roaming one so its liek seamless enviroments on one huge island, i think it sounds really good, theres also controllanble vehicles in this one like jets and stuff

This has been discussed here numerous times already. But uhh I'm excited for it, provided it doesn't suck like FarCry did half way through.

I completely agree, Far Cry really lost what it had going for it once you started to fight those damn mutants. Then it just turned into Doom Island.

i hope theres like waves that get bigger with wind n such and like weather..like rain, thunderstorms, cloudy...and stuff like that.

Crytek agreed that they made a couple of mistakes with Farcry (with the stupid monsters and crappy story). They intend to make it much better this time.

Anyway, a frozen tropical island seems fun enough already!

I didn't mind facing the mutants in FarCry. They got hard when you were low on ammo or when they brought in the super mutants near the end. Those last 2 or 3 levels really were "epic" in my opinion.
