The only question is, will the flying part be linear (ZOMG!!! WE'RE FLYING THROUGH AN INVISIBLE CANYON!!!) or like the rest of the game, pretty free roaming for the most part?

If Crysis was the equalivant to a girl who would she be?

Place bets now!

1) Jessica Alba
2) Angelina Jolie
3) An old lady dressed up as Gordon Freeman's wife

Mr Freak, I think the flying of the VTOL's is in Multiplayer power struggle.

And crysis is that chick in the superman shirt that JoshPhillips posted in the 360 thread.

The Crysis multiplayer sounds pretty cool, but a game mode that could last 10 hours? People were complaining that the hour or so long games in Supreme Commander were too long, so I seriously doubt anybody is going to put up with Crysis for 10 hours straight. And that's ignoring the fact that the computer will overheat and self-destruct from being overworked for too long.

And mipac, for being such a PS3 fanboy, why does your sig say you wished you hadn't spent your welfare money on PS3 and should have purchased a 360?

Stop pming me that Retro_X likes to eat babies, I know already.

Anyway, it doesnt necessarily mean that matches go on for 10 hours, they wont, its just the possibility to make the maximum 10 hours.

I find HL2 gameplay drab and boring now.. Maybe because it focuses more on story but there it is. I recently started a new HL2 SP game to finish it, and I don't want to. The buggy part is wayy too long and the "physics based driving" is an acrid spike in my *******. On that same note the air boat part is too long.

Crysis is going to be WAY better than EP.2 No question or doubt in my mind. But I think that portal will out live Crysis. It's not just graphics, portal is so unique, no one can touch it, even though it might have been derived from the same idea as Prey.

As for a demo, I want one ASAP. I don't care for the full dose or fun shock. Plus I'm very bored of the games available right now.

On that note, couldn't miles of the same jungle terrain get drab and boring in much the same way HL2's enviornments did?

I think crysis' MP is just as interesting as its single player. I mean, tanks that shoot tactical nukes? Count me in.

The thing about Crysis is it's so dynamic. If you can recall one moment in HL2 where you could take a different route to achieve the same goal by choice, I'll pay you money. And that goes for a larger scale than deciding whether to use the gravity gun to kill everything, as opposed to using bullets.

Crysis, as far as I can tell, offers more choice than current FPS's giving the player a direct route, a hillside route and several others, all with an array of alterations due to timing and nano suit usage.

Yeah there was one video where you were walking along the road next to a cliff, soldiers ahead of you and to the right of you, up the cliff, and the first time the player used his nanosuit powers to take them out, the next time he used his guns to kill them all, and the last time he called in a helicopter missile strike, taking out all the guys up the cliff, and when the missiles hit the cliff, boulders fell down and crushed the guys on the road.

It also has to be well implemented. Sure, it looks good, and the guy who can barely speak English hypes it up really well, but have any critics played it? I haven't heard of anybody outside the company playing it, so we don't really know how it plays out. I'm excited for it, but I seriously doubt it's going to be better than the masterpiece that HL2 was and is.

Sure, when Crysis is released I would choose to play that over HL2, but only because I've played through HL2 so many times.
