Ah, so the DirectX 10 video cards are coming out in late '06 huh?

Well you would probably need one to run windows vista properly. So I'd expect them to come out just before vista.

Yep, BFG Geforce 6800 GT OC 256MB. I've really had a good experience with this card, I think when I do get another I'll get it from BFG again.

Yup mines worked solid for me as well. Problem is that if I want to upgrade i'll have to get a new motherboard as well as a processor :wack

Yup, those job applications are looking pretty promising right now. Its gonna cost me some money if I want to upgrade my computer or consider buying a PS3.

You'll end up regretting it in the end if you got a PS3 over a new PC.

Crysis. mgs4 is probably only going to be 10-15 hours long (amazing, I am a huge fan of the first 3, but Crysis and an upgraded pc would just last longer)

True, true. Plus theres always the promise of MGS4 expanding onto other platforms. I already have a 360, so a port would be nice. Crysis does look amazing, so theres no doubt its gonna require tons of horsepower. Were they running it in DX9 or DX10 in the recent E3 trailers?

Why do you see graphics as the main reason for purchasing a platform?

Well theres no doubt they look good, thats part of the appeal factor I guess. I'll probably end up making my decision on whether or not I upgrade when I see some more gameplay. So I'm not totally a graphics whore :tongue

DX 9, there's one video out there that I've seen where's it's running on DX10
the only difference they showed as an example of the diff. was when the big strider looking monster roared at the char., the smoke and fire blew back away from it. Looked very cool.

Depends. Usually I really like the eVGA offerings, they're nice.

Thats amazing, so they haven't even begun to experiment with DX10.
