If you can take the X2's, the Athlon 64 X2 3800+ would go nice (£102), if not the single core Athlon 64 3800+ will do a dam fine job (£73)
Quoted GB pounds as i dont know where you are from.

I have a BFG tech 6600GT OC; and though this card is still o.k. for the games I run, I'm wondering if I can push it a bit more in terms of manuall overclocking. I haven't done that yet since the card already comes OC'd. Does anyone have any experience with this card or have a little OC tweak that can maybe give me a few FPS?

I used to have that same card but it died, now I miss those Blue LED light, well as for overclocking you could use Riviatuner.

Some people said the new 8800GTS is not all that it's cracked up to be. Basically if you're considering the new 8800GTS don't even bother. The original one is much better.

Looks like a decent card to me, but I'm holding off for a few months until I purchase a new card.

My AGP 6800GT is still kickin.

The BFG 8800 GT is pretty decent right? I'm thinking of slappin' in my new system.

Same card here, but its not enough to run 1920x1200 nicely enough on my Dell 2407, so upgrade soon I must.

Go with EVGA or XFX. I've read reviews on all of their 8800GT series and they seem to be the best.

I'm buying two of these for my new computer. I've read the reviews on it and ONE of them seems to be on par with an 8800GTX. Hopefully two will be very satisfying. Compared with the XFX motherboard I picked out I'm hoping everything will work out real nice. There's only one thing I'm nervous about. Will the power supply I currently have work with two of these in SLI? On the box it says SLI approved and ready but it was made (I think) before all of these powerful cards came out.

It's a Seasonic S12 and here are the specs:

I will be running 2x400GB SATA drives in RAID, Q6000 and some other stuff. Thank you! :8
