Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy. It's an amazing book, I can't put it down. WW3 FTW!

Also highly reccomended by Clancy - Red Rabbit and Rainbow Six.

1984, by George Orwell.

I guess we're talking about Tom Clancy for a bit. I keep starting Rainbow Six, and then never finish- not even half-way through.. I'll try and pick it up again this summer. I also want to read Patriot Games because I own the movie.

I'm currently reading "Mothership" by John Brosnan
And before that I read "Iron Sunrise" by Charles Stross. That was a really great book.

Well it's actually from 'The Terminator' (1984) during the main guy's dream sequence. It's a nightmare rather: 2029 Los Angeles during a battle where he and a small group of humans are trying to survive against different 'hunter killer' machines, flying and tank-rolling, that shoot lasers. Very memorable and scary. Your sig definately gets the job done..

Yes yes yes. If you've played the first Rainbow Six game (the one that was based on the book) then you'll recognize the locations. Fantastic book, brilliant ending!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0414429/ < it better get made, and it better be identical to the book!
