What Are You Listening To V.2.0

It's a great song, originally sang by a great band and covered again by a great band! "Who wants...to live...foreveeeeerrrrr"
I managed to pry myself away from The Diary of Jane somehow.
Breaking Benjamins new album is going to be released on August 8th. It features The Diary of Jane and You to name but two of the new songs. The rest are unanounced except Topless which was previously only played live.

How would I best describe The Mummies? Well, they describe themselves as the "Kings of Budget Rock", but I just classify their music as good ol' rock-and-roll.

It's being played by a streaming radio station (www.rtds.org is the URL given); I always listen to streaming radio when I have to work long hours on Uni assignments.
For the record, I love Bon Jovi's music

The reason why I started to like them is because i saw them on the OC season 2, which was a very good plug for them. If they ever come to Buffalo, I would definetely see them.
just listening to the samples on the website now... tbh i dont really like it but that was your first impression as well so maybe theyll grow on me if i give them the chance - thats if. ive never watched the oc (except for the odd minute or 2 to check out the hotties

Listening to this because of Raul's recommendation. Uh, they say they mix a lot of genre's into their bag of tricks, mostly gleaned from music they gravitate toward in the first place. I find it to be very easy to listen to. Catchy. And alternately, relentless yet melodic.

it was on this day in 1975 that led zeppelin played the last of 5 shows at Earls Court in London. this version of the concert can be briefly seen on the "Led Zeppelin DVD".

Prince (and the Revolution/New Power Generation) - 18
Madonna - 13
Megadeth - 11
Led Zeppelin - 11
Dream Theater - 10
Iron Maiden - 10
Thin Lizzy - 8
Opeth - 5
Boston - 5
Pink Floyd - 4
Tool - 4
Porcupine Tree - 4
And those are also my favorite bands/singers. Though not in that order. Well Prince at the top is right anyhow.

Currently I am listening to their song "Genius." Most of their songs are a mix of a small bit of samples and guitars. The genre is industrial metal which in my opinion is pretty cool. Also my favorite album would have to be www.pitchshifter.com.

It has one of those cool album names for when the internet started strongly taking over our lives.
By the way this new thread ROCKS. I don't know why we kept the other one going for so long.

Foo Fighters - Everlong (Live at Japan)
I thought the origional was good - this is even better for me. I've seen some videos of other Everlong performances, but this is the best I've heard yet.

I'm listening to Tool's 10,000 Days in an effor to like it more. It's still not as good Lateralus, or just perhaps not at accesible. I'llk keep listening to it until I either love it, or get sick of it. Currently I really like the first 5 tracks, and haven't listened to the last half of the album enough.

While I love 10,000 Days, it doesn't quite measure up to Lateralus or Ænima in my opinion. That's not to say that it isn't one of the best albums to come out in a long time. I can't decide on my favorite track from it, it's a toss-up between Jambi, 10,000 Days, The Pot, and Right In Two.

Yeah the production on Ænima is notoriously crappy, but I love that album to pieces. Lateralus is better in nearly every way though. Strangely enough, most people like Ænima the best out of Tool's work.

Yeah I know. People were turned off by the introspective and mysticism/religious slant of Lateralus. And almost usually I would be too. But it's just such a great album. Though yeah, more people like the angry loud Tool, as opposed to the reflective Tool.
PS - Great post w-ninja, I'll have to go through some of that music later.
