Haha, you are pretty brave for dismantling your laptop, good thing you got it working again.

I just was cleaning my dust guard so I took a pic from the inside.

I really like the blue details on the motherboard & ram.

It has three case fans, with adjustable speed. Normal I have them on low, but with the hot weather over here now I put them on medium. On high it sounds like a turbine engine.
Looks like my CPU & GFX fan are also pretty dusty, wich is logical after more then 3 years now. But I don't really feel like cleaning them, I accidently destroy things most of the time. Wich is not a fun quality to have.
Also notice how those big & heavy GFX cards these days tend to bend over.
That golden thing on the back is a little Chinook pin.

My new baby. (And my old baby, moping on the floor)

Needs some final cable management-y touches, but it runs great. And so quiet!

Are there any fans on the top blowing out? If not I should cover it with something. Also that white coat looks pretty nice, better than that standard grey.

It's an honest question, I grew up with intel but I'd had an AMD for a while and it performed much better than my intel for video games. These days I use a Mac I bought for school and I don't know what kind of processor it uses.

There's noise dampening plates on the top, plastic and foam. I have one of them open for airflow right now and I'm installing a fan there when it arrives in a couple days. Temperatures are great without it already though, which I'm pretty happy about.

Intel/nvidia combo is the way to go for vidya.

AMD CPUs are great for budget PCs like a streaming box or something, but Intel tops it anywhere else for most uses.

The AMD R9 series (GPU) is kicking Nvidia's ass right now in terms of price/performance though.

I'm still trying to find the right IRQ for my SoundBlaster 16 so I can finish the last mission of Rebel Assault.

Oh, here's my current setup. The hardware's nothing special (2600k i7 cpu, 8GB of RAM, Zotac 560Ti 448 core), I just love the case! :)
