My friend just gave me his dad's Canon AE-1, which is pretty ancient but in my opinion still okay. I haven't the slightest clue about photography but would love to learn, so where would be the best place to go about doing that?

Took this on Wednesday. It was around 12 o'clock I think. Almost the darkest time of the year now, as you can see from the sun being so low in the sky. Beautiful day though.

Edit: Oh yeah the quality ain't too amazing since I took it with my new phone (HTC Magic, 3.2Mpx camera).

Forgot all about this thread. Got a Nikon D40 for christmas, and I've been trying to get out and take photographs more often. Also got Photomatix, that HDR program. These are some of my favorites so far:
