When do you see HLFallout end?

Every great civilization, from the Egyptians to the Gamecube owners, must inevitably meet its end. Unfortunately, even one made of immortals and sex-machines, like our trusty HLF, cannot evade that fate.
After being here for over two years, I find it hard to imagine being a devoted member of another community, and when I think about the demise of Ye 'Ole Out of Fall I seem to get extremely nostalgic about these forums and one thought usually crosses my mind: "where will my net surfing go to when I'm done?"

For now, I go asleep and leave you to ponder: When will this community end?

Dunno. I've tried joining other forums, but it's not so community based as this one. When it ends, I guess it'll be the end of us :)

When the half-life series ends the only thing this site can advertise will be mods (Nobody plays most of them) and the new crap they are putting on steam.

Thats when it will die.

Dunno
I've been here since about 2 years ago, and I've had fun with people, then they left, and then had fun with newer people.

As long as there's a fresh supply of enthousiastic and quality peeps, we cannot die as a community.

However, the site itself is almost already dead...it's completely outdated.
example: http://www.hlfallout.../episodeone.php

Quote

Formerly known as Aftermath, the Episode 1 expansion pack promises to pick up where the cliffhanger plot of Half-Life 2 left off.

Well...ep1 was released a while ago already. don't we know more than speculation?

Nevar!

This community has become something more then just a Half-Life orientated fanbase. Even though the mainpage serves us our daily news needs on everything Half-Life related (such as mods, episodic content and what not) I don't think it'll ever 'die'.

It'll be a looooong time for the entire HL series to end and even when that has happend this community will live on in some sort of way.

...Us regulars will find shelter...

Nuclear Fallout > HLFallout

But you'd be hard pressed to initiate a nuclear fallout that would affect all members of this forum. I guess my answer is somewhere between next Thursday and never.

Yep, thats what will happen.

But it can be avoided if they are smart about this. When the time comes they need to transform this site from a half-life fan site to a Valve fan site, supporting whatever Valve is making. That way the community will stay.

If fallout is to survive.. we need our own servers on half-life games! we need our banner EVERYWHERE with big flashy annoying fonts. We need to get some nukes too. Everyone popular owns nukes. I know this really hot girl and everybody likes her because she has nukes. Everyone in my neighbour hood talks about her. Oh we also need someone to go to Vavle and be all like "HAY GABE PICTURR" and get photos. We need our own car or mascot too. And our own mugs and t-shirts that you can buy.. Dont forget nukes.
