I'll have to wear out my 7950GX2 before I go get myself a DirextX 10 card. Besides it won't be all that necessary till second generation DirectX 10 cards hit the market.

I'm hoping my 2x7800GT last me that long.

Dear Avias!

Oh please help me! My drivers have suddenly started giving me stop errors! Go out and kill 20 Nvidia defias pirates and bring me back the driver Bandanas they drop. Also, for a bonus CTD with driver errors, go kill Van Cleef, the driver pirate king.

Your reward will be nVidia 97.44 drivers (Tier 3 epic, Tauren only, Class 8800's only)

Sure, I have no problem with that. Just make sure you tell folks that they are beta ones.

EDIT: Topic pinned for ease of use.

For Windows Vista x64 RTM. Not for 8800.

Guru3D has a new ForceWare driver for you today. This is revision build 97.92 and the set is WHQL certified. Since the original file-set only supported GeForce 8800 in the sub-directory modded-inf you can find a modified .inf file should you want to give these drivers a go with all regular GeForce graphics cards. Mind you that you'll loose WHQL certification then. Guru of 3D repackaged the driver from 65 MB towards a far better 36 MB. The archive has been virus and pest-checked and it cam out clean. This is a beta driver so please treat and respect it as such.
