Damnit to hell! I had to fight Windows tooth and nail to get 10.7 installed correctly and here we are 2 weeks later with 10.8

Tell me about it, 2 hours after I installed 10.5, they released 10.6. But "luckily", I had to reinstall windows the day after, so it all worked out.

Tell me, are you using driver cleaner/sweeper? If not, no wonder you're struggling.

I'm not and I've had no issues at all with any of these recent driver updates.

I haven't had any issues installing any of the drivers lately, only issue I had was with 10.7 just because it would foul up a game of mine, but 10.8 fixed it. No installation issues, but I format my computer frequently.

I use driver cleaner, my problem was that I couldn't get Windows 7 to stop installing its garbage Microsoft drivers that are over a year old. I would uninstall, clean, and then install the new drivers and when I rebooted it would be the shitty generic driver that Windows downloaded itself. I tried rebooting, cleaning, and installing in like 10 different sequences both in regular Windows and safemode. If I had any hair it would be gray.

The Catalyst 10.10 Drivers are out!

Also for those running a HD 6870 or HD 6850 with Windows Vista and 7, there is a 10.10a hot fix as well.

Makes me sad my 5850 is no longer up there with the big boys, not that there's been any games that'll tax it.

10.10 screws up Empire: Total War and made MoH worse.

Then again I would probably blame it on Crossfire.
