Official Poll Discussion No.11

Its been awhile. I guess I was just too busy to update the poll. Too busy being awesome.

I figured the two hot topics of the moment are "Left 4 Dead" and "Half Life 2: Orange". I'm going with the former for this poll but will move on to the latter for the next. Anyways...

This poll asks you how you would like to take on the shambling hordes of the dead in Turtle Rock and Valve's upcoming zombie slayathon Left 4 Dead.

Head to the front page and cast your vote. Return here to discuss this important question.

Left 4 Dead brings the zombies. You bring...
1) Melee. I like to smell the blood.
2) Dual pistols. If I don't look cool its not worth it.
3) Shotgun. Boomstick. Need I say more?
4) Heavy stuff! An arm here, a leg there!
5) Eerrgh! Raaargh! *moooaaan* (Zombie)

HAVE FUN PLZ.

Yep, shotgun. It's been my fave weapon of choice since the early RE days. I also like assault rifles cause it's always fun to just riddle the bodies with dozens of bullets.

What? No magnum revolver on the list?!

But I'll settle for a shotgun any day.

There's just something about the shotgun that makes me feel safe.

...and uhh, Paul Allen. I killed Paul Allen with an axe..in the face. His body is dissolving in a bathtub in Hell's Kitchen.

Theres just something about having a firearm that can turn a limb into red mist with a single shot. Shotgun.

Shotgun, of course. The shotgun is the ultimate zombie pwnage gun.

I forgot about a revolver, but unfortunately the lack of options would have prevented me from including it.

I'd rather a broad sword. Maybe a mace, and a 45. semi-auto for emergencies.

Apparently you got super-human strength to cut through a wave of zombies. :D

I'm a big guy 6 '4 - 240 pounds but that's not the point.

A sword wouldn't jam on you or run out of ammo.

It takes a very strong swing to cut their head off...and it's not like one on one...or ooooo knife and butter I can do it all day.

You vastly underestimate the amount of strength required to handle a sword or a mace, let alone against countless enemies. You would be over run and picked apart.

For me? Shotgun.. My Remington 870 w/ 18" barrel and a extended cap for 8 shells would do quite nicely. Or if not a shotgun then I'd definately want something light and agile, some sort of pistol calibur carbine like our Keltec sub2000 As for a back up I'd have to suggest either a Springfield XD or Glock 19. I would go with a 1911 but being single stack you'll only carry around 7 shots, 8 with one in the chamber where as the XD carries 13+1.

Maybe I'm thinking a bit too far into this :tongue
