Saw Thor. It was pretty good. The love subplot, as forced as it was, had a decent resolution.

Going to watch Iron Man, Captain America and The Hulk in the upcoming days. Afterwards I'll watch The Thing 2011 so I can at least see one terrible movie amongst all these supposedly good ones.

IronMan is fantastic, all around action packed, several funny moments, bad assery all around.

Captain America is good, but not something to hurray about, they did a decent tribute.

The Hulk(Ang Lee version), either you love it, or you are going to hate it, like Opera, i liked the hulk

The Thing 2011: Why even bother...?????!!!!

I actually meant the Hulk film released in 2008. I have no intention of seeing the one from 2003.

I really liked the first The Thing film and want to see how the new one is. I don't see the point in making a prequel 20 years later. It's not like it really needed a prequel/sequel anyway.

They had a bunch of awesome prosthetics and animatronics made for all the monster and mutation effects in the new Thing movie. They looked rad. Then the studio scrapped them in favour of CGI.

And that is why I will never see the new The Thing.

I also love The Thing, best horror/thriller ever. Just listening to the soundtrack can make you get a heartattack.
This scene freaks me out.

I recently saw:
Predators - I liked it, nice ode to the original.
Mr. Poppers Penquins - :D
Transformers 3 - Awesome.

I signed up for the Netflix UK 30 day trial and I've been watching The Office, I'm not sure it's worth £6.99 with the collection it has right now, but I'm considering it.

I've been trying to watch "Don't be Afraid of the Dark"
1080p version gave VLC memory leaks (didn't work on my PS3 Media Server stream either)
Second download was 720p - protected by some shit DRM (cinavia) in which the sound would go out after 30 minutes.
Tried to watch another 720p by a different group on VLC media player but it gave more memory leaks.
There's something wrong with that program (or my memory) I did memtest though. Nothing came out of it.

i just want to watch
a shitty horror movie

I already saw both of those. And both were good.

Apparently there's also a Descent 2, but I'm afraid of horror sequels.

In an old-school memorabilia way, I just rewatched "Airheads".

I loved that movie back then, and it's still a worthwhile comedy today. Its comedy is believable, and even when it goes overboard at the end, it's not insulting you intelligence.
Now, it's not a smart movie, people in it are not the brightest bulb in the fridge, but delightfully so, and not "DURRRR DURRRRR" stupid as in movies nowadays.

I've been watching the TV show Arrested Development. If you like kind of quirky, offbeat humor, this is the show for you.

Been watching How I met your mother myself. A lot of fun imho. Beats The Big Bang Theory which was the sitcom of choice for me before.
