Was wondering, what ever happened to Sin. Episode 1 was released and then it was as though the word complety went silent. Does anyone know of anything. I like the first one and just happened to think of it. :gordon

They stopped making the episodic content for Sin. A lot of the people behind it quit, so they stopped the production of later episodes. It's too bad really, I loved Ep1 :(

I hate hearing this over and over again. No offense to you guys ofcourse but I just want them to continue the episodes.

I really liked Sin Episode 1. Such a shame.

To the best of my knowledge nobody quit the team. The entire company that made SiN was just purchased by another company more interested in family friendly games but have stated that if a time ever rose to allow development time on more SiN episodes they would allow it to happen. Just don't expect that to be something happening soon.

Perhaps this is a good example of why sometimes episodic content fails.

Wikipedia said:

With the sale of Ritual to MumboJumbo and departure of several employees all future development of Sin Episodes looks to be canceled or delayed indefinitely. The reasoning behind the change is that MumboJumbo has already tasked Ritual with making "high-quality casual content."[1]

"The idea of acquiring Ritual was to have them strengthen our development in the casual genre and not to have them involved at all in the action style games," Cottam explained. "If there's an opportunity to have them do something on the SiN episodes, we would look at that, but that will not be the focus of the company. The combined companies will focus exclusively on casual, unless opportunities present themselves that we think are strategic from a business standpoint... Again, I wouldn't close the door on traditional games but that's not the primary focus."

yeah, it's a shame. The first sin and episode 1 were great. I'm interested in seeing what games the company will make now that they're owned by a casual gaming company.

I would have to search around for the link, but I too heard that all hope should not be lost regarding this game.

Stay tuned!

Proves my view, episodic content is WORTHLESS GARBAGE.

It's a shame that their sales got crushed by both half life 1 and when episode 1 came out. Too bad valve didn't hire them to make content like they did with turtlerock.
