Really getting into sleeping dogs, think I'm enjoying it more than some of the Gita games, the fighting was a little tough at first but after upgrading a bit I feel a lot more powerful, still have to watch my health though.
The environment in this game is awesome, so much detail and think this is the first time where I haven't noticed repeating pedestrians, they are all pretty unique.

Finished Sleeping Dogs. Took me ~30 hours to complete the main mission, all jobs, races, fight clubs and favours, and find all lock boxes and health shrines. Still have two 'events' to finish, hidden somewhere on the map. Once I find those and buy all the clothing I'll have done basically every single thing in the game.
Fucking loved it. Probably my favourite sandbox game of the generation. Ticked all the right boxes for what I want out of a game. And though every aspect of the game was a little janky, I feel this is common with pretty much every sandbox game ever, or any game that tries to do a lot. Otherwise the fighting was excellent, shooting satisfying, driving wonderful, and the free running a great way to get around the city.
I hope it gets a sequel because I'd be all over it, and if the DLC is any good I'll be buying that too.

I thought they would do more with the date missions with the girls... I thought there would become interesting story with the american tourist but after taking her picture at that park I never saw her again, seems like something was cut there.
I agree with eatchildren though, I haven't enjoyed a game as much as this in a long time, I am nowhere near done with it progress wise, there's just so much to do!

The dates are pretty deceptive. They're not even dates, basically just optional once off side missions that expand your mini-map. Not that I'm complaining, as most of them were interesting, and two of the ladies are expanded into extra missions, but there's no real 'dating' to speak of. You should read the report sent to you on the American tourist though. You're not the only Chinese fella she's been hanging around.
I now own everything in the game. Every car, every item of clothing: everything. All I have to do is churn through the karaoke, find a way to get half a level's worth of triad XP to max that out, and grind for gold/silver medals to have 100%'d the game/achievements. And I'll probably do it.

I'm around 60% done with Sleeping Dogs and it's still throughly average in all aspects. The shooting is terrible and a lot of the missions boil down to what's practically an interactive movie: walk here, take photograph, get near object, press button to see canned animation. The girlfriend missions seem like leftovers from a gameplay element that never panned out and the Events are banal shit that lasts a minute or two tops.
The city is beautifully designed but there is nothing to do in it at all.
I'll see if I can power through it today so I can move on to better games.

No idea, a friend of mine beat it yesterday and it took him 30 hours.
