I still haven't beat crysis regular. I think i'm at level 8? out of 11? no spoilers please. I loved the begining but the last mission i played wasn't very fun.

@ tomsgames.com in an episode of a two-man talk show, Second Take, it was said that Crysis Warhead's graphics were toned-down it bit to play on reasonable machines at - I think it was - E3 or some other expo.

LIES AND SLANDER!

They actually improved some things. The only reason why it is playable on more affordable machines are because the super-computers of last year are now affordable due to price drops and new hardware being available.

A guy at work SLI's 9800s, a Quad Core, 4GB of memory and and still gets choppy FPS when the quality is max and resolution is at 1920x1200, so I was wondering.

Crysis Warhead looks better than the original Crysis and runs better too. All other opinions are invalid.

but is it safe?

EDIT:

It must be as good or better since you and Wet wouldn't lie in tandem, and I trust you anyway.

Watching clips of Far Cry 2 seem to blow Crysis out of the water, but I might have to give it a try in order to get rid of this reputation as a slanderer.

Mipac and I hate each other more than Mel Gibson hates the Jews and have long, drawn out fights on a weekly basis in the vein of Peter Griffin versus the giant chicken, so if we agree on something, you're goddamn right it's the truth. We alternate months on who has to fly to the other's country.

Oh, Crysis and Warhead will still bitchslap the most powerful of machines on the highest of settings. The big thing Crytek was pimping was that it COULD run on a six or seven hundred dollar machine, but that's on very low settings.

EDIT: And I think FarCry 2 looks like a better game than Crysis and Warhead, but I don't think the graphics are going to be as good (although they look to be the next best thing).

the guy at work might have all those but what kind of motherboard and psu does he have??

I dont remember where i read it but I remember reading somewhere that Warhead improved lower settings to make them run on lower end machines. And they improved on the games graphics maxed out.

Damn you! I'm moving up our weekly fight. I'm on my way to the airport now. EatChildren's house. Noon tomorrow.

EDIT: Off topic, but I'm curious: I read that Australians are trying to eat more kangaroos instead of beef because they fart less and they want to help save the planet. Is this true?

EDIT EDIT: And that ad makes it look like Crysis: Warhead is going to cost $699.99.

Yes. This is 127% true. I've yet to ever see a kangaroo in the wild that isn't being shot at, but if I ever find one roaming the city streets I'll be sure to eat it and do my part.

To make Crysis that playable in less than a year makes it more than a mediocre game for sure. When your engine has that much magic there are bound to be some loose ends showing.

Mipac:

Plz send mee sum kangoreru Meet ASAP! I want to do do my part for Australia. You see, here in Wisconsin we fart enough already and there is no way to stop it.

The game stops being fun once you start fighting the aliens half-way through.

I rarely spend money on games any more unless they are in the bargain bin. C&C3 and left4dead are the only new ones I am excited about and plan on buying.
