Yeah, Christmas is the worst time to be looking for a job. The only people who might offer a very very slim chance of employing you are caterers and restaurants, but you always need experience. I have experience, about 3 months worth, but in these sorts of situations they're always looking for the absolute best.
I've given up for now though, at least until Christmas is over. What really pisses me off is how well people treat you when you ask if they have any jobs, you hand in a CV or an aplication form, and then you hear nothing from them. I've had my hopes raised and crushed several times now, it's actually getting to be quite funny. I went into a shop, a hot girl winked at me and flirted for several minutes when I inquired about a job, she said they were looking and that I should expect a call tomorrow. That was 2 weeks ago now, b****.
I'll just wait till Xmas is over, then get a cleaning job. Apparently someone's leaving soon, so I might stand a chance at getting that job. Still, can't complain. All my friends are back from uni in the next few days, we'll have a few brews, have a good time, I'll forget about it all and just get pissed.
