I'm halfway through Chapter 7 now, I was talking to GUI on steam, there are a few points in the game that you CAN'T skip cut scenes, for whatever reason. Beginning of Chapter 2, most of Chapter 3, and the first half of Chapter 7. Like I said in my thoughts, it's only annoying if you try to replay that game or do arcade mode. And for some reason City, playing the later missions on Hard, I didn't die that much compared to medium, but I'm guessing that's because I got better at dodging bullets. I love that you can twist your body to avoid slow motion bullets while shoot dodging, just like in the previous 2.

This is the best looking game I've played on the PC in a long time.

There's nothing like shooting a guy in the mouth and just having his kevlar helmet fly off and then having to shoot him again to kill him. That's not mentioning the fact that those helmets don't stop rifle rounds to begin with. It pisses me off in the same way that being able to catastrophically kill a modern battle tank with C4 in BF3 does.

Can't wait to get to the airport on hard... There are some parts in the game that are really frustrating considering the difficulty bump.

Yeah the difficulty just spikes at random spots, I just think the guys in body armour are way to hard to kill but even some guys in tshirt get shot down and then get back up as if I just fired some marshmallows at him. Has anyone had a bug where you haven't been able to select a weapon? During the airport section I couldn't select one of my pistols for some reason it just wouldn't equip it. I could select my other pistol fine but I couldn't duel wield either was really weird/annoying.

The third act of the game has a weird difficulty spike. Enemies take and deal significantly more damage than prior. Due to the location damage on Max it leads to some seriously fucking dumb instant kills because a piece of shit AI headshotted you with a rifle from across a room, just while you were getting out of cover. I'm on the second last chapter and the encounters aren't half as fun as they were for the first couple of acts.

The Desert Eagle bypasses enemy armor, so do a few other weapons but I don't remember which.

Too bad you only get it twice in the whole game. And there is hardly any ammo for it.

EDIT . . . the other two weapons are the light machine guns (the RPD and that other one you get from heavy weapon guys).

That patch fixed the multiplayer stuttering completely, though sometime the game just stays in the loading screen and never loads and I have to open the task manager to exit it.

Quite nice that they fixed the 'heavy' aiming when in slomo pretty fast. That really bugged me before.

Agreed. It's much better now. Now I actually use shoot dodge and when on the ground don't immediately try to stand up.

I have yet to properly try the multiplayer. I'm quite enjoying playing SP again on hard and trying to find all the golden guns etc. I can see that the cutscenes might get really annoying on the third go though (oldschool mode). I'm wishing they'll patch it so that they will become skippable for real, since it can not be loading so long.

So the arcade modes are pretty much the same SP but against time or gaining the highest score? Cutscenes are probably still there, right?
