Actually, I like the idea itself because I like seniority in a community. But instead of a veteran tag or something, I propose we get to decide what goes under our username, because 50 people can't be "G-Man Personal Aid".

By seniority, you mean "people in charge"...and that's what the "names in red" are for, not random people who have a certain number of posts, or a certain join date.
Instead, a select few, as many as needed, to make sure that everything is going according to plan (yeah, no, nobody actually has a copy of that plan), and these few should be chosen on merits, for their capacity to be responsible and not complete *******tards.

bad idea, it would create animosity between new & old and not soo old members. I suggest we just keep given the normal tags per post count, then after x amount, you get to choose from a select variety of tags.

May I just point out, the ONE thing you should NEVER change about this site is the most recent topics section on the main page. The integration with the main site (that actually started with Orge's Network) and the forum being together like that is very well done and shouldn't be taken away.

This is true which is why we would never implement something like that. This plan sounds like a good one though sui, recommend it sir.
