Remove what makes HLF HLF or not?

As I am sure those of you who are reading this knows, we have a new admin on the forums. Now, what he wants to do is basically remove what makes HLF HLF and basically start from scratch, do you support this? Simply answer yes or no.

The content, posts, members won't be lost! The site overhaul will be a step-by-step process where the community will feedback and suggest changes and enhancements.
The current website and forum is broken in many places (inc Lost Password, RSS etc), which will take a lot of work and I can't guarantee they are fixable.
A new site, with the communities complete input (no changes overnight) will give HLF a boost in the features and content management it NEEDS and deserves to go forwards.
As I've said, all the design drafts will be finalised by you, the community, we can make it as identical to the design is now, I just want the main structure (code / CMS) to be redone.
That's all, I'm not killing anything, as I keep saying it will be a community process and I'm being very fair with allowing this poll to go ahead... that's my input.

It won't change what HLF is. If anything, it will give this place new life once again. I would liken this to when the network went round all the other sites and changed them to V Bulletin, gave them a new lick of paint and updated all the sites. There were some people who said similar to you at those respective sites, but soon realised they were wrong once changes were made. I mean I have an affinity for how the place looks too, but we must change with the times.
I hate to liken to old times continually, but I think the proof is always in the pudding. We were the busiest network site by quite a way. However we've never had any serious attempt to update the look. Take Total War Center, one of our former brothers in the network. They did update their look, and it's one of the major reasons that they are now the #1 visited Total War site (Except the official one) on the internet. (I'm not putting forward their design as a suggestion keep in mind, I'm just pointing out they've changed their design to something that suits the kind of games they cover very well etc).
So the question I'd put to you is, would you like to push for the kind of forum activity our former brothers have, or would you like to sit in the past asking yourself where w-ninja is?

However, I think that the site could do with a redo, get rid of the archaic structures, of the dusty dead links etc.
HLF should be more than just a forum, although the forums are it's life and soul.
Now is the perfect time to do this change, with the symbolism of new management and all.
One point that I do find important is to keep the general aesthetic of HLF, it's really what sets it apart, the clear, light, faded look is still sexy.

And to Brumisator, yes, the software and the skin are a part of what makes HLF. As far as I know, no other forum had this kind of layout or anything even remotely close to it.

With most probability that is what will happen, Mutley has already stated that the forum software is outdated and as such, when time comes to kill HLF and remake it, the software will be updated and thus everything that has been posted will be lost with it, amongst everything else.
