AAAAAAaaaaaanyways... I just got my first earned hat: the soldiers helmet with cigars & ace card. Wish it had come with a peace symbol as well.

I got my first legit hat aswell. Fancy Fedora.

Anyway who's up for a game or two and use our own HLF servers?

Shut up, after Quakeworld Team Fortress - TFC is crap gameplay wise. Same for Action Half-Life, after Action Quake2. Same for CS:S after CS 1.6 - that's well known. No offense.

You signed up just to comment on my post? Get a clue pal, TFC ******* ruled back in the day. Kthxbai.

 I was trying to post yesterday that we're supposed to be nice to new guys, but that the ones that just sign up, come in and abuse the most respected members of the community... well. Yeah.

But then I got an IPS Driver Error and forgot.

too late. :p

I just realised something, I hate the item obtained screen. It interrupts the game flow and worse, if i actually don't want the item, I have to go through another screen to confirm it, forcing me to always choose to add it to avoid the delay to get back to the game death cam follower.

Especially for people who have most of the achievements already.

I don't have most, but all but one of my pick-ups have been for items already acquired.

It is really annoying as you say unless it's something you've coveted for a while.

I just realised I don't really like it either. Maybe if it showed up in a little window 1/4 the size of the screen and you could zap it away by hitting tab.

Then again it's not a big deal since I never find anything anyway.

It doesn't really bother me all that much. I've got nothing better to do while waiting to respawn... Though I can certainly see why some people would find it intrusive. I think the small window suggestion is a good compromise.

But if I find a hat I want there to be fireworks and windows and colors everywhere because it's probably going to take YEARS.
