I first started on making a huge, human sized sentry, made out of wood & PVC pipping, equipped with a paint ball gun inside that would shot at anything that moved and had a particular shape. After laying down a basic frame, I realized that it would likely shoot and

There is still tons to do, I need to add lines, pieces, and clean up the paint among other things ; I also had to eyeball the dimensions and i have taken a bit of liberties with the design due to constraints.
It will tilt and swing using servos, make a flash during firing using a bright LED inside the muzzle and it will have a small speaker on top to make all the lovable sentry sounds.
Ultimately, it will be controlled with a microcontroller and hopefully i can interface it with my laptop. Most likely just drive it with my gamepad, but I would love to find out a way to make TF2 send out my sentry's coordinates and then accurately translate them to my sentry, so I can watch my sentry kill while my sentry kills.
PS: well, I doubt my art contest will take off at this point, so I am just going to make a raffle for hlf members the day before L4D2 comes out and just gift any game they want(under 49.99).
