Laptop

I'm finally looking to get a laptop for myself. Would make things easier if I don't feel like jumping on my desktop all the time, and just can use the wireless in my place.
I don't need anything super fancy, but want a quick machine for sure. Probably will not game on it but hey, you never know.
I saw this one on Newegg. What do you guys think? Probably don't want to spend any more than $1500 (including tax).
Thanks guys!

I think the specs are similar though it wasn't the same laptop, so far he has no problems with it. I think his only gripe is that it doesn't have enough space, so he adds an external. Oh, and he doesn't like the audio too much, but I haven't heard it personally.

That's a sexy looking laptop! Thanks man! I may just have to personalize one to see what the final cost will be.

Really? I'm not familiar with Vaio's. Are they that much better than Dell's?

Well you can get cheaper ones, but then again, this is a Dell (and Asus). Still have not decided yet.

i had previously a dell 17" laptop. It was pretty nice, sturdy, easy to tare appart to clean/inspect. quality is excellent. Has never let me down. Its been 5 years since i bought it and it works like a charm.
At that time, I had a 750 dollar discount coupon which made the purchase soo much more delicious.
Now i have an asus which was cheaper with a beefier card than dell had at that time. From comparison, Dell has made a bigger effort to balance the machine for appearance, comfort, weight & quality.

I'm biased because I had a Dell that crashed the day the warranty expired.
