No Episode 3 in 2010? rumor

Im not really bothered in the end. I'm someone who still thinks HL2 and the episodes are some of the best games ever made, and while I'd love Episode 3 now I know when I do get it it will blow me away.

Eat my piss.

I'm kind of disappointed if this turns out to be true, though.
They pushed L4D2 out in, what, a little over a year. And production on Episode 3 started before Episode 2 was finished. It better be full game length if it's going to take them over three years to finish it.

Crazy, when you think about it.

I'd don't get why people say the episodes weren't "full" games. Sure they're a lot shorter than HL2 but to me they were full gaming experiences and only a little shorter sometimes longer than most AAA games (not that the episodes weren't AAA but you get what I mean).
I don't think they'll call it Half-Life 3, they've said a few times that the episodes are hl3. The way I see it is it'll just be a longer experience than the previous episodes, with of course some pretty major upgrades to source.
I wonder if the cause of the delay is issues with the story/script. I mean episode 3 is supposed to be the big finale for this story arc so it's crucial that they get this just right, it must be a huge undertaking, how do they end it ? how much do they reveal ?
It also could be some technical hurdles that they need to overcome with source, in fact its probably both of those combined
One thing that does bother me is the longer they make me wait, the more I expect from them.
