At first I was like "LAME, its a giant Iphone" and the name sucks. After
reading into the device I found the pad to be much more then a blown up touch.
- 30$ a month for unlimited 3g
- 10 hour use, one month standby
- dockable keyboard and mouse
- Fully functional iWorks
- Backwards compatible iPhone apps
- HD capable, designed for gaming
- New E-reader service
From a
average Joe's standpoint, this things a waste of money. Why would I pay 700$ for a large iPhone that cant make calls and cant see flash? wtf is this junk.
From a
business standpoint, this things not bad. 700$, its small, stylish, 10 hours battery life, always connected. I wouldn't mind working on this.
Apart from having the dumbest name in gadget history it doesn't seem all that bad. Sure it lacks flash, but HTML5 should fix that eventually. Its a shame this thing wont run OSX programs without being re-written. This fact alone will probably be its downfall, especially since people were expecting the "apple tablet" to be a full fledged laptop replacement. Would I buy it? Not until its jailbroken.
