Lots of people working on it. Shouldnt have to say any more. No platforms announced yet. Discuss.

I actually liked Invisible Wars. DX1 is pretty dated, and I never got into it early enough to get swept up in the hype, and really fall in love with it. That said, Invisible War was a little boring at times, and had some retardedly mundane side-quests, but I enjoyed it.

So EC, what exactly did you not like about IW?

I liked IW too. It was a pretty fun game. I was dissapointed though, because it was a let down compared to the depth of the original. Same reason I dont like Oblivion as much as Morrowind or Daggerfall. Too much simplification compared to previous entries.

I hope DX3 is more like DX in complexity.

It's a bastardized version of Deus Ex. It's good, but with the Deus Ex name, fans of the original were very disappointed.

Ah I see. Well as I said, I never got hooked on these games early enough to develop strong enough ties. Though all this talk kinda makes me want to try out IW again, as I don't really remember much of it.

Dues Ex is still one of my most favorite games. I'm really hoping for a game that lives up to the hype. It's been a while since a game came out that is even close to the level of immersion of Dues Ex.

By the way, what the hell is Dues Ex supposed to stand for, or did I miss that?

I just replayed Deus Ex (well, completed for the first time) a couple months ago, dated graphics and all and it is still a lot better than many many many many games out now. Definitely one of the best, if not the best games ever created. I hope it isn't a repeat of IW too although I didn't think it was that bad. Still, with the way games are going these days, I think it's more of a pipe dream than anything else at this point.

honestly, just that deus ex music in the trailer makes me want to buy it. easily the best single player game ever. invisible war, if it was any other game except the follow up to the greatest game ever it would have been received much better, but it just didn't stand a chance, much more linear and you could feel the console-itis of it, although for the time it did have physics and pretty good graphics. no matter how dated deus ex looks(i still say it looks good because even though everything isn't super hella bumpmap shaded or whatever they do nowadays, the atmosphere of the whole place lets you see it all), it is still well worth a play just because of the flexibility of the whole game.

It's good to see they used the original theme in the teaser trailer. Hopefully it will be more like DX1 than DX2:IW. That was a cheap-******* console port. It was okay, but nowhere near as good as DX1. I must've played that game completely for like 10 times.

Here, here.
DX:IW was a good game, but it they simplified it too much. I could do without the skill points if they found a way to put those aspects into the augments.
Still I can't wait to hear more about the game.

@RaiLs: Deus Ex stands for Deus Ex Machina, which is something used in fiction to explain away inconsistencies and end a story. Often this is done by a god or godlike being. It translates to god from the machine, which in the case of the game relates to the AI's and to lesser extend to the transhuman protagonist.

Meh, it just seems to me they want to milk out an old franchise because they ran out of ideas, I'm not holding my breath for this one...

Does anyone know if the game is going to be a direct sequel like Invisible War or is it going to be a prequel to the orginal Deus Ex?
