"100 new staff by the end of 2007 and fill another 250 positions by 2009."

They wont have a full team before 2009.

Im not saying that it will be 100% be on the next round of consoles,

Well I don't you're that much of an idiot.

was just floating the idea. When he says it will not be on the last generation or current generation of consoles, I think my statement at least has some weight behind it
Unfortunately there are a lot of people that still consider the 360 and the PS3 to be "next" generation and refer to it as such.

but as usual, you just come out and flame every one of my posts like its the most retarted and impossible thing you have ever heard.

Really? Every one? Only about every 20th post is the most retarded and impossible thing I have ever heard.

And if you truly believe that the higher-ups at EA and Activision are not currently in talks with Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft about the next round of consoles, then you would be sadly mistaken. They would definetely have a few ideas floating around their studios right now that they just wont be discussing with the public.

Did I say companies weren't in talks about the next generation? No. I said they weren't DEVELOPING for the next generation as it hasn't been solidified enough yet. Ideas floating around their studios does not equal development.

EDIT: I'm off to class, I'll talk to you later. Ta ta!

I dont bother to reply to w-ninja style posts, they take too much time and effort. I had an idea that seeing as he said neither "last gen" (PS2/Xbox) or "current gen" (360/PS3) would see Deus Ex 3, I thought the next round of consoles was a possibility. I hope your building burns to the ground lol.

I agree. Although I'm sure we disagree on the point of whether I'm in it at the time or not, though.

Erm Mipac, where do you get your "facts" from?
Both Sony and Nintendo have announced that they're looking to have a much longer life for the current generation of consoles (so called "next gen").
You know it just as well as the rest of us, PR people love the terms "next gen" and "HD", even if they're just empty buzzwords.

Well the quote from Eidos about a full team by 2009 was from an article PALGN did when they announced Deus Ex 3.

I read the article about Sony and Nintendo's next consoles a few months ago, I think it was at gamepolitics, Microsoft simply said "Microsoft does not comment on rumors or speculation" when asked about their new console, but Sony and Nintendo both commented that they were into development of their next consoles and that they were in discussions with dev's about how to best design their console to suit the dev's needs. All I want to know is how many consoles explode during the early prototype heat stress tests xD

I'll have to check with the Deus Ex communities I frequent, if no former Looking Glass Studios or Ion Storm members are working on it, there's no doubt in my mind it will be an equivalent or worse of IW. They'll probably sell it on looks.

It's already been said that no former Ion Storm members are working on it.

There was an interview posted with a team member or something similar yesterday.
I'll find it, hang on a sec.

:wha:

Well, that's it for me. I don't give a tuna about this game, no Ion Storm or LGS members will mean they turn it into whatever the hell they want; a normal mapped Bioshock clone.

$10 says it goes 3rd person as an action RPG hybrid.
