Left 4 Dead 2?

#1 Posted 18 June 2010 - 12:08 AM

What's the best way to arrange to play L4D2 with other HLF'ers? I had it on xbox but you all know what the community can be like on there, full of kids who just go running off on their own. So I've bought it on PC now and would prefer to play with people I know I'll have a good game with. So is it best to just send invites via Steam when I wanna play, or is there a regular session?

:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I try so hard...but nobody will listen...nobody cares.
It's every week, it's on the front page, there's a thread every week, there is a recurring calendar entry on the site, it's on the HLF steam group, there are reminders in the HLF Steam group when the sessions start, there are reminders in IRC.
WHAT MORE CAN WE DO FOR PEOPLE TO STOP BEING BLIND?

Every Friday and Sunday, HLF gathers to play Valve games.
Join the HLF steam group, join the L4D1/2 HLF rosters, befriend as many people as you can on steam.

but OH WAIT! THERE'S MORE!

LOOK AT THIS!

I already told you all of this, AND YOU EVEN READ IT AND REPLIED!

AARGHH!!!!!!! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!

I did take your advice mate and I've joined the group on Steam, but I checked the calendar and forum posts on here earlier and only seen mentiones of TF2 and Left 4 Dead, so I assumed it was only TF2 and L4D1 you played regularly on Fridays. I did notice the roster on Steam, but again, I thought this was for L4D1.

Sorry if I've missed something, but I really do try and look around before I post new threads.

Yeah, sorry, I didn't mean to lash out at you personally. It's just...so many people keep asking the same thing without looking for themselves.

Your best bet to get some gaming going whenever you feel like it is join somebody else's game, or message people and try to get a game started.

No worries, I should have said in my original post that I've already joined the group and checked the cal, etc. I can see why you thought I hadn't looked.

Cool, I'll try and make myself known to some people on Steam then. By the way, is there a L4D2 roster, or should I just join the L4D roster? I've found the normal L4D one as it's linked from the HLF group.

Whats the usual way the game to be played on Friday and Sunday is decided? Does everyone join the chat on Steam or something? Or does a mod just put a thread on the forum, like last week?

There's a let's play right now thread for TF2

Why not make one in the L4D section. Perhaps you can find some people willing on our IRC #hlfallout

maybe it would be better to do a "I FEEL LIKE PLAYING THIS WITH YOU GUYS RIGHT NOW" thread, and give people an hour or 2 to react to it.
