Half-Life Fallout: orange box problem - Half-Life Fallout

hi,

i'm not able to play EP1,EP2, portal and TF2 (half-life 2 is running perfectly)since the last update. the games were running without any problems before the update.
when i run any of these games i get an error message which says


Launcher Error

Failed to load the launcher DLL:
The specified procedure could not be found


i tried reinstalling
defragmenting
checking cache integrity
i even copy pasted all files from the bin folder to the root folder of each game individually.

nothing works.


pls help me.

Several people had the same problem, but simply restarting steam did it for me.

most suggest destroying that blob file, it only worked once for me, dont know really...

well if restarting steam didn't work, i would suggest deleting local content along with the game's folders in C:/program files/steam/steamapps/yourusername/allthefolders
then redownload from steam and install
