So . . . how does multiplayer work anyways? Is it one map that people join and it never changes so you can build whatever you want and it'll be there later on when you rejoin? Or is everything you build client side?

Man, I really want to join so I can start setting fires . . .

so

apparently, i built a cart with tracks on my little ledge

then the programmed crashed...

so I dont know if I lost my cart
EDIT: so, apparently, since adding the cart, the server forces the clients to use 100% core cpu

I suggest not hitting my cart, as it will cause massive cpu usage, but you can ride it & push it (laggy as hell)

Minecarts do not work in multiplayer.

:/

And unfortunately it is pretty low on the "to do" list for notch.

Hotgore needs to add some mods to the server, it needs a /list,/playerslit or /who function to see who is online.

Also, I am alone on the server someone join meh.

EDIT: Wow, the server is hella laggy.

Point me to these mods and I will install them. The server may not be as laggy as your CPU. Minecraft is not multithreaded and uses a **** ton of CPU.

Mincraft runs fine for me. I've been playing for months without any problems.

Must be where the server is located. Or my internet is currently weird.
