In all fairness, you stated that Sony were copying Nintendo's handheld. But there not even remotely the same...

Ah well, I guess adding touchscreen was something they had to do seeing as everything has it nowadays, so maybe I was to quick to judge. Though you already know the PSP3 is going to have better graphics and a 3D screen without the need for glasses! :P

So you're saying the Move isn't a complete Wiimote rip-off? I own a PS3 and Wii btw, so for me it's only good having it on both consoles.

pro tip: things get copied and improved upon in the industry and others all the time. quit crying.

Well all portables have gone the way of the touch screen now :P. Will admit it's unnessecary on the NGP. It's already got dual analog sticks, D-pad, facebuttons and a track pad. But heyho, more the merrier.

If I can't cry, what's the use of posting? :P Still think Sony could've been a little bit more innovative if they're trying to beat Nintendo on the handheld market. (EDIT: And especially with the Move, like Microsoft has done with Kinect)

but what will matter is the games and nearly all of Sony's first party franchises dont interest me.

This.

Although I have to say hearing about that MGS4 tech demo running on the system got me kind of excited. Third party support will be what sells me.

I sold my original PSP early on in it's life because I didn't give a shit about the games for it.

Note: When I said "competitors" I meant the iPhone too.
There isn't anything wrong with making a competent console, It just isn't very impressive or new, hence my disappointment.
I wonder that the back touchpad will be useful for. it doesn't seem ergonomically viable to do complex commands back there, and real buttons will always be superior to tactile BS imo, but I guess it has enough of those too.

Here's a high quality version of the announcement, with a direct look at the screen and no shakeyness.

Pretty hyped for this, glad it's got a second analouge stick, I wonder if they'll let us remap PSP controls to use the second analogue stick? being as the triangle, square, X and circle buttons were used for moving the camera it should be fairly easy to remap them...

I don't think I'll be getting this because I don't do much handheld gaming, but it looks pretty cool. If the price isn't obscene and the feedback is good I might consider changing my mind.
