The only two email accounts I have used for gaming are not recognized, and I am unable to sync my old, in box with purchase receipt games (Orange Box) onto my freshly created Steam account with recent purchase of Black Ops (on new Pc).

As they say on the internet. You're dong it wrong.
You are one person, you have one steam account. One account that holds many games. Many games on one account that you can play on many computers, but not at the same time.
Find your old account name and info, and if you've forgotten your password, submit a steam support ticket to get your password back.
In a silly way, you have two accounts now, one for each game. You cannot transfer games between accounts.

If you ask nicely you may be able to get Steam Support to merge the two accounts, but that is a long shot.

Get support to let you change the email associated with it. If you can show them that it is your account I can't see there been a problem. I don't think they merge accounts though. I had a simular problem that I registered my hl1 copy to a steam account when steam first started then when I got hl2 I made another account because I forgot about the old one. Now it just doesn't recognise the old one at all so no hl1 on steam for me!
