It looks like that.
The fan is making a whole lot of noise. Tried cleaning it, didn't work. Stuck my finger in it and it stopped, the computer was completely quiet without it.
I want to unplug it (because I got a fan for my Intel processor and two case fans already) and wait for Asus to get back to me, but the wire is connected in this tight spot that I can't seem to get it out of. Not sure if there is some sort of mechanism that needs to be pushed to unplug it, but it's just not budging.
Any advice? I just want this fan to stop running at this point because it's REALLY annoying.
Update: Tried tweezers which only managed to slip off the plug. Don't have pliers small enough.

This seems helpful but I am still not sure how I will go about doing it. Don't have a great tool for this.
I am half considering cutting the wire or sticking a piece of tape into (or onto) the fan to stop it from spinning. It's THAT annoying. My lack of knowledge of circuits/gears and how they could effect the rest of the motherboard is keeping me from going that far.
