Steam support is really bad
#1 Posted 25 March 2011 - 06:07 PM
This is rather frustrating since I cannot use my Steam account which has like 15 games registered to it. Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket, huh?

HAHAHAHAHHAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHA AHAHAH AAAAHAHHAHAH HAHAHHA!
...seriously though... welcome to the real world. A world where not everyone is at your feet waiting to do your bidding.
Take a chill pill, calm down, or my sides will split.

Wow, take it easy yourself. It's rather funny being told "welcome to the real world" from a guy who has 19,193 posts on a forum. I don't believe it is too much to ask of them to respond within (at least) a period of three days, but they haven't even responded or anything.
Was it really necessary to be condescending? I believe my claim is fair since I have no access right now to products I have purchased. The fact that I have to wait three days is even worse. I work during the week, and the only opportunity I have to play is during the weekend.

Take advantage of the situation and go out and paaarteeeyyy.
Anyway, 15 games? I got more than a hundred, but I guess it would still be a bit shit. Anyway, their support is probably getting hammered so just be patient. Do they have any sort of indication how long their queue is?

So what are these 'problems' you refer too?

It says "troubleshooting" every time I try to log on. It has done so for the last 3,5 days, and it worked fine before that. I had similar problems with Steam years ago, but it never lasted this long.

I did that last weekend this weekend I wanted to chill with some games, but that isn't going to happen any time soon as far as I can see. So, yeah, I'll probably go out partying instead even though I'm a bit tired of that

Nope, no indication at all... sadly. Wait, you have a 100 games attached to your Steam account? Is that even possible? Games are usually pretty expensive to buy through Steam, so I only buy games on Steam when there's a discount.

No, not yet. Is it even possible? It seems more like they want you to use their Steam support service...

Hm, didn't expect that, thought it would have to do with your internet.
Could you post a screenshot of the error message you get when logging in?

What? You haven't used Steam in a long time, have you? There are new sales almost every day on Steam.

Sure. Most I have bought during the sales over many years so it's not that surprising. This does make me a bit like O_O -> http://www.steamcalc...r.com/id/bundai

Yes, I only started using Steam again two months ago, and before that I was in the army for a year and a half.
