I loved the sense of scale you got. Seeing the map that showed the test spheres above you, while being able to see just part of one was amazing.

I'm absolutely mesmerized by the Turret aria. Let's hope we got more turrets making music.

Also SPAAAAACEEEE!

The game is so full of details both visually as in sound. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Just finished it and loved everything about. The massive scales, the characters (glados still as favorite) the music and really digged the ending song. The only downside of this game was there was no element of suprise anymore. Portal was so new and fresh and you never had a clue what was coming next. The Ending was nice too. My only thoughts were if this is set in the halflife universe the outside world didn't seem to be very apocalyptic. I really really wished there were more halflife references, a very few subtle hints but that's about it. It seems like they tried to keep it really separated. Interesting thing is, Early on in the game GlaDOS mentions she went outside and saw a deer, later on she said she lied and didn't saw a deer but a few people! Any thoughts

Eh, you can't trust anything GLaDOS says, she lies to hurt test subjects all the time.

True, but then again. She's getting all nice near the end of the game, BFF's!

The only real downside was that the puzzles were just too easy too solve, but the story and all the details were simply unbelieveable.

Another thing, i felt like there was a lack of areas I could use portals width, felt too constrained and required the use of mechanism developed specifically for each chamber, hope speed runs show that there are different alternatives than the set required

Simply fantastic.

Everything about it was spot on. The writing, the voice acting, the environments, the puzzles... all of it... well, I have to nit pick, because it's so good: too many loading screens.

I think it's easily valve's best singleplayer experience to date. Sadly, this makes the wait for episode 3 even more unbearable.

edit: I also forgot to mention the dynamic music, amazing, the way the beat changed depending on your actions, loved it. Even the little track by the national on the radio was very fitting and listening to it again just reminds me of the game.

People on the steam forums have come up with a bunch of theories used by hints dropped in the game. Here's an odd one.

I thought it was pretty obvious that GLaDOS was Caroline...

EDIT: Umm...did you ninja edit, or was I hallucinating that one of the things in your spoiler said, "GLaDOS is Caroline"?
