But ya this is pretty bad.
The real issue is that Sony waited a week to come forward and address that they fucked up.

I wonder how long it will take lawyers to line up to start a lawsuit against Sony. I'd support one especially if Sony not only didn't take proper precautions to prevent an intrusion, but had users' information in plain text. I'm worried that they were in plain text, simply because Sony hasn't said to everyone "Hey, don't worry too much as your information was hashed." In addition, they've already warned people to change their CC's as a precaution - almost sounds like they don't know how much information was taken, or they do and are trying to prepare for the shit-storm that is about to ensue.
