I got a notice from Codemasters that the account was compromised, but I never used my credit card or any other sensitive information, although I used the same password I use for every single website on the internet

Yeah, same here. I think the main point is that you should use a different password for every service. Maybe part of the password can be the same and part from the name of the service etc.

On RPS some guy linked a letter with a transcript of lulzsec extorting a company owner for money and information. And they've got the gall to say that he should be happy it was them that did it.

I have now started to keep a plain text file on my computer to keep track of all the different passwords I use because I keep forgetting them... :|

If you want to keep your details safe just give me that document and I'll keep it safe for when you need it. No one looks in the back pocket of my jeans so I'm sure it will be safe there.
