It's expensive for a CPU cooler, but in terms of air cooling, it can't be beat.

That's a pretty big cooler, not sure if I need one that big. Maybe on sale, but I think the 212+ should work just fine.

So I have the desktop up and running and working beautifully. Now it's time for the rest of the machine.

At the moment I'm gaming on a small 19" (1440x900!), I do have a 24" (1920x1200) but it's an Apple Cinema Display and has a male mini-display port connector, so I can't really plug it into my PC. But I do have a few options. I can either buy a converter box so I can plug it in, or just buy a new monitor.

The converter itself is roughly $100, and I'm worried that it may have lag or other side effects, so is it better to buy a monitor?

If yes to the last question, what make and model? I'm happy with 24" and looking towards an LED backlit display. I did find this one:
