garrys mod sais u cant download it unless you have a source game and ive got 4 source games half-life 2 team deathmatch half life 2 long coast or somthing team forstres 2 and zombie panic source so y cant i download garrys mod?????

Wow. Uh, I don't have garry's mod but one of the most common problems with steam games not working is you downloaded an illegal copy and are trying to get that to work through steam.

If you legitimately bought it, right click on garry's mod and verify the game cache in the properties settings. You will also have to have one of those 4 source games installed currently for garry's mod to work which actually might be the problem.

EDIT . . . I reread your question and you're saying you can't download it (hard to tell how I missed that the first time), what is the error you're getting when you try to download it?

it just keeps saying this gift pass has additional requiments before accepting a gift for garry's mod you must own source sdk base 2006 once owned please try accept this gift again
but the wierd thing is ive actually got 4 source games

are you trying to download the old free mod version of garrys mod?? or the newer game version that requires money. i wouldn't think you would have to own any version of source sdk or half life 2 for the newer pay version as its supposedly a stand alone game.
