I actually enjoy the new dashboard look. It's similar to my phone (I now use Windows Phone 7). I don't mind the ads, nor do I feel they are an eyesore. They're extremely ignorable tbh. I don't understand why people are upset at the fact that they are merely 'there'. If they forced me to look at the ads, then I'd be upset.
